Beautiful and tactile Sacred Circle Yew Wood Amulet Charm for Good Luck. The expression ‘touch wood’ comes from the ancient pagan belief that trees are sentient beings and that the spirits or dryads that dwell within them hold the power to keep us safe from harm. When we say our hopes or wishes out loud, we say touch wood and look for a piece of wood to place our hands upon to show our respect for the tree spirits, ask them to hear our plea and look kindly upon us.
This beautiful and extremely tactile amulet features an inner sacred circle space where you can place your fingers or thumbs for added protection whilst touching the piece for luck. Circle are the space drawn before ritual to create a protective magical space. We have added a Rudraksha bead as these sacred seeds are used in traditional malas and take the imprint of the wearers energy. The piece has been sanded so the surface is smooth and then lightly waxed with natural wax. It is strung with onto an adjustable cord, so it can be put over your head and adjusted to you desired length.
Yew has always been considered a powerful and magical tree and Yew Wood is thought to be beneficial for regeneration, rebirth, protection, communication with the other world and was traditionally used for dowsing.
